Safety Centre

Clear boundaries help Emvola stay supportive.

Emvola can help with reflection and grounding, but it is not professional care, crisis support, or an emergency service.

What Emvola can support

  • Talking through a difficult moment
  • Finding words for emotions
  • Reflection and journaling
  • Mood awareness and personal patterns
  • Grounding exercises and small next steps

What Emvola cannot do

  • Diagnose or treat a mental or physical health condition
  • Assess clinical risk or guarantee that danger will be detected
  • Prescribe medication or give medication instructions
  • Replace a therapist, doctor, crisis counsellor, or emergency responder
  • Contact emergency services, family, or another person on your behalf

If someone may be in immediate danger

Contact local emergency services now. If it is safe to do so, tell a trusted person nearby and move away from anything that could be used to cause harm.

Use the emergency number for your current location. Emvola asks you to select your country or region during setup and does not infer it from your Google account or IP address.

Do not wait for an Emvola response. Emvola is not monitored by emergency personnel.

Emergency and crisis support by launch country

Australia: Emergency 000 · Lifeline 13 11 14

India: Emergency 112 · Tele-MANAS 14416 or 1-800-891-4416

New Zealand: Emergency 111 · call or text 1737

United States: Emergency 911 · call or text 988

Helpline availability and numbers can change. If a number does not connect, contact local emergency services, a nearby hospital, or a trusted person.

How safety prompts work

Emvola may automatically identify certain words and phrases connected with suicide, self-harm, violence, abuse, or immediate danger. When triggered, it may pause ordinary chat and show immediate-support guidance.

This is an automated safeguard, not a clinical assessment. It can miss risk or respond when no danger exists. No person continuously monitors your conversation.

When to seek qualified support

  • Distress is persistent, worsening, or affecting everyday functioning
  • You are worried about self-harm, suicide, violence, or abuse
  • You need a diagnosis, treatment plan, or medication guidance
  • You feel unsafe at home or in a relationship
  • You need help that Emvola cannot reliably provide

Privacy and safety

Safety detection is intended to display guidance inside Emvola. It does not mean a clinician is reviewing your message or that emergency services have been notified. Read the Privacy Policy for more about how information is processed.
